Pokerroom

So, recently a friend invited me to Pokerroom and it sounded fun and easy to play there so i went ahead and deposited a smallish amount just to check it out
first thing i noticed was the 50% deposit bonus wich needed 80 player points (rake points)
and a refer-a-friend bonus for $50 needing 150 points
wich was impressivly easy to do after just 3 days ive cleared out the deposit bonus
and made a good $80 on the 0,25/0,25 tables
wich to me was amazing, because i suck at ring games
and yeah it took me a hour or so to get adjusted to the fish level of players because there are really alott of em there

offcourse after grinding at the ringgames for few hours i wanted to check the tourneys
they are pretty nice altho the pay-out structure isnt that great compared to Pokerstars IMO
but still theyre fine
so started doing some SnG's and here there where alott of fishes aswell
just playing 2 small SnG's i made up to $70
so im gonna keep grinding here
fogetting about pokerstars for a while (only gonna play some regular freezeouts and the $3 rebuy) and once i get a nice bankroll here im gonna keep climbing up

$3,30+R 10k Guaranteed

so again like monday i registered in the $3,30+R 10k Guaranteed
along with some other guys from Pokernews.nl we started a sidebet for another $3 each for whoever got the deepest well i will already let you know that i came in 2nd

just like monday i played very well and was very satisfied about my game (getting consitancy here) unfortunantly i got moved to different tables again in the 4th hour for like 5 times wich is really anoying when you like to assemble reads on certain people
anyway tourney started out great unlike the other time i managed to play it just with my $3 buy in and an extra $3 for the add-on, yeah just $6 (last time 1 rebuy and total of $9).

The first hour started pretty easy and made my first double up with AQoff on the button everybody folds to the HiJack who raises to 140 (blinds 10/20) I call SB calls and BB folds

flop comes 42J rainbow SB checks and HiJack makes a bets half the pot and i push he calls turns over KJs turn comes a Q and river is a blank

some guys like to push/fold everything they like Preflop in the rebuy and they usually end up rebuying 5-8 times

seeing as i know im not aggressive enough…yet to make it to the final table i wanna invest as less as possible because i know if i can make just a nice average stack with minimal buy in i can still make some nice cash.

Then next i get 4A of spades in the SB blinds are 25/50 UTG – UTG+1 – MP2 and button calls i complete and BB checks

flop comes 3h2h9s so now i got a wheel straightdraw and a backdoor flushdraw everybody checks to MP2 who bets 250 in the 300 pot button folds I call and UTG goes all in for his remain $t5 turn comes a Ks so now i got 4 5s 9 spades and 3 aces as outs 16 outs but not really counting on the aces i got 13 i check MP2 bets 500 in 805 pot giving me little over 2,5-1 wich is enough for me with my 13 outs so I call river brings a 5s and i make a value bet for 500 wich he calls and mucks en im not at 5700 I get another pot with 8s vs 98s and they hold now at 8k

then 4 mins for the end of the rebuy period i get the hand everybody wants during rebuy Pocket Rockets! in the CO blinds 50/100 2 limps i raise to 500 and get 3 calls

flop 5Q9 rainbow shorty pushes for 1000 and MP with 4500 also pushes I ofcourse call

A3off and 9Joff is what im facing and take it down 15k into the 2^nd hour

2^nd hour doesn’t give me much action

As we go in to 3th hour im at 17k once im dropped down to 11k I finally get a hand AKoff

blinds are 600/1200 + antes 2 limps and the blinds being well so tight they could be on sit out

so i push getting 1 call by QK as i double up and am at 27k nothing much happens after that

i couldn’t record after 3th hour because of lags but i can tell you nothing much happened as i got in the money at 155^th place i pushed all in with A9s from UTG figuring i need a coinflip to make it deeper unfortunately im up against AQ and bust out

still another cash and 2 out of 2 now in the $3+R so im going good

Start of my own Blog

Hi, my name is Sven
i started playing poker for a little more then a year ago
started like most people did just playing a little bit not thinking about hands or w/e
just playing on instincts
had a few wins and losses like a normal player would have on the low lvl SnGs
and everytime after a nice run of wins i kept losing my bankroll in the downswing after.

Now a year later
reading posting and just checking out sites like 2+2, pokernews, pocketfives and pokerxfactor
ive been learning alott about my own play and about the theoratical side of poker
but sadly i realize that i am way far from being a good winning player
i recently finished Harrington on Hold em vol 1
and started on vol 2

last monday i had a great result- (for my doing)- i played some great poker i felt good and most things felt right only made a mistake or 2 and finished 69th in the 3+R on pokerstars good for $47
even tho knowing i could of made it further if i had made a certain call i am very satisfied by my performance

and the next day again a small tourney made by a guy on pokernews
only 32 entrees for $5 but still started out good and making the FT
just ended out the money tho noticed i was tired and made a huge mistake by letting my ego play instead of my mind
and ending pushing on a flush draw against pocket 8s which held up.

By thinking about these results and how i played these 2 days i noticed im improving in a very good way
starting to loose less on marginal hands
starting to win more on my monsters
just really thinking correctly about every situation

and you are probably thinking why does this mirco player loser make a blog its totally not intresting ?

well if its not for you then lets hope its for somebody else :)
at least its for me
a good way to see myself develop and for others to see me develop
hope to post some great stories and to develop a classic from Rags to Riches Blog
